I have given up on Lisa Jackson, the stories might not be bad but the content is just too much description and in this case you get no where in the first half of the book. By the time I got to page 200 I was bored beyond bored and just skipped to the last chapter which tells the whole story, so I didn't miss anything story wise in the last 200 pages.

This is one of Lisa's sorriest I've encounted. It takes the co-authors a minimum of three pages to cover one page of story line. I wasn't able to finish beyond chapter five...

This could have been an ok book, but dragged on with repetition and an extremely lame conclusion. Come to think about it, the middle of it was pretty unrealistic, too, and it would need work throughout to make it into a believable story. The characters were not likable, imo, and the "heroine" turned out to be TSTL (Too Stupid To Live). Also, for some unfathomable reason, none of the characters were forthcoming with information to police regarding a murder investigation, but somehow thought it was important to get together and discuss it amongst themselves, which had no benefit whatsoever. I've read many of Lisa Jackson's books and enjoyed them so am not sure what happened here. Was it due to the influence of her sister, whom I've never read? Whatever, their editor should have told them to get real and do some rewriting so didn't read like a sixth grader plotted it.

This book is not about ghosts as suggested by a previous review. It was a little slow to get into but once I started reading I enjoyed it very much. This was my first time reading a Lisa Jackson book. I would recommend to anyone who likes a mystery with a love story mix.

Good plot, interesting characters but rather slow-moving at first. In the beginning, there were alot of suppositions, theories and questions about what had happened to Jessie when she was a teenager. Most thought she had run away, but when old bones were unearthed at the local high school, the general consensus was that Jessie was murdered. Enter her schoolmates, now 20 years older, and a police detective who has never been able to give up finding a reason for Jessie's disappearance. He now has a cold case getting warmer, he's bound and determined to prove the body is Jessie's and to find out which one of the "preppy pricks" killed her.

About 1/2 way thru the book, the pace picks up. There's no longer a bunch of theories to prove or disprove and alot more action. Some of Jessie's school chums are being killed off, too. It was hard to put the book down for the last 100 pages.

If you're a Lisa Jackson fan, put it on your MUST READ list. If you aren't a fan, you should consider reading WICKED GAME to get an idea of just how interesting her stories are. I give it 5 stars!!!

Hmmm....so I loved the premise on the back of the book, and I liked the beginning part of the book that concentrated on the friends from high school reuniting to discuss the discovery of a body they thought was their friend (although even that part was very wordy and dragged out for far too long). Then,I started saying "huh?" towards the end (also long and drawn out). And the ending was not satisfying at all, as there was not enough information given about why this killer was out to get them. Apparently there is a sequel to this book- yikes!

Enjoyed the book for the most part, although the wrap-up / conclusion was a bit weak.

It was a good mystery read from Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush. It kept you guessing until the end. It took me a little while to get into the book, but once I did, I could not put
it down until the end.
