Another English author trying to tell a story by using the guise of going back and forth between the past and the present.

I didn't find the characters likable in any way and didn't find the writing or the story anything but boring. Too many pages with just rattling on and on and nothing to make you want to read more, each chapter does not offer suspense or mystery and doesn't end making you want to read faster, it just plods along slowly and gets boring.

Luckily I got it from the library and didn't spend money for it or use credits to get through PBS
