I loved the story premise. In fact, that's why I bought the book - the blurb on the back cover. Plus, I really like this author. That said, it was disappointing. I found it hard to 'get into', and about 50 pages in, I had to start speed-reading because it just wasn't holding my interest. Both the hero & heroine were likeable, the basic storyline interesting, but the action, or should I say, the non-action, dragged on & eventually fizzled. The deception on both parts of the h/h was meant to be amusing, I'm sure, but I found myself more disappointed & disturbed that both the h/h had such a serious moral flaw.

Annoying lies by omission and game-playing. Contrived behind-their-back 'tests' to see if he/she 'really loves me'. So juvenile. Especially for 30 yr olds. And the spy chief using government agents to carry out these immature games is ludicrous. I do hope this new series gets better with Book 2.
