I really enjoyed this book. The description was fairly hokey, but so many people have given her books good reviews, I had to try it. It had a great blend of depth and light humor. I found the cosmic troublemakers to be likeable and consistant throughout the series. Her characterization is excellent, and the descriptions well done. The storyline and romance are balanced. Very good read.

This book is rated with two stars. That may be a little harsh. I would rate it three stars. I didn't hate the book, but neither did I love it. There were several funny scenes, which is what kept me from hating the book, but I didn't like is well enough to give any of the other books in this series consideration.

My first by Nina Bangs which I admit I was a bit skeptical because well, the porn star-ish name just threw me off. But I was curious and it was available at my library so I checked it out.

This book made me think erotic-paranormal-chick lit. But I liked it! I didn't know what to expect but found myself smiling and laughing all the way through and not wanting to put it down. I will definitely read another by Ms. Bangs.

I've been an avid fan of Nina Bangs' work for a while now, and wanted to read this book from the moment it hit the shelves. I've been lucky enough to read, and finish this book, and I can tell you to run, don't walk, to your nearest bookstore and buy this book right now!

Talk show host Donna Nolan doesn't believe in things like love at first sight or things that go bump in the night. She's at the Castle of Dark Dreams for one thing only -- to find out the truth about the women who call into her show saying they were seduced all night long. Eric, the castle's resident vampire, is trying to protect his, and his brothers' true identities, and take down a powerful vampire. He doesn't count on Donna, or his attraction to her. Throw in a meddlesome chocolate shop owner, an avatar of Bast (who reminded me of my own cats), a wizard, and two plants who thrive on sexual energy, and you have a read that's going to keep you up all night long.

I loved the interactions between these two characters, and their sexual chemistry scorched the pages. Kind of makes me want to have a brooding vampire all to my own

Great story, I really enjoyed this one and ooolala was the loving good in this one.

Welcome to the Castle of Dark Dreams. It's the yummiest attraction in Live the Fantasy, an adult theme park where women who dare can take sexy role-playing to new erotic heights. Just by looking at the castle you know that only dangerously tempting men would play here. Three brothers - Eric, Brynn, and conall McNair--run the castle. Okay, so they're not quite human, but that's a secret. This night Eric, the castle's resident vampire, will prove that he's everything bad should be.
Talk show host Donna Nolan is on the trail of the weird and wacky in the Castle of Dark Dreams. But thoughts of a juicy interview to enthrall her listeners disappear when she meets Eric. With the coldest blue eyes and the hottest mouth she's ever seen, he's a primitive call to the wild in every woman.

Love between a talk-show host and a vampire shouldn't be possible, but then, strange things happen in the Castle of Dark Dreams.

I really enjoy Nina Bangs! Anyone into the modern day vampire/romance genre will also, I think.
Bangs characters are believable and she allows you to really get to know them.

A fun, steamy, and quick read that does, unfortunately, feature stock characters and trite dialogue. However, these can be overcome if you just enjoy the cheeky campiness Bangs brings to the story.

Lots of great bantor and intriguing charaters in this book. Loved the entire concept of a "buy-your-favorite-fantasy" concept with the help of three easy-on-the-eyes brothers who work and live at the castle. Amusing cats, plants and cosmic trouble-makers keep the story interesting. When talk-host Donna Nolan clashes with Eric the Evil, things get very combustible.

This book was ok. The story line was slow in my opinion. Not much action and very little sizzle for the couple.

This is a love and adventure story between Eric, who is a vampire, and Donna, a talk show host. Donna, who came to put on radio shows at an amusment park in Galveston, clashes with a vengeful vampire blaming Eric for the death of his bother. Donna is also given advice by Sparkle, a cosmic trouble-maker, and Asima, messenger of Bast, on how to attract Eric.

This was the 1st Nina Bangs book I have read and I was not that impressed. Granted some parts are pretty steamy and will about bring a blush to your face but for me the story just felt trashy :o( I have several more of her books on my tbr pile and I am hoping that this one is a fluke...

The first book in the series, Wicked Nights was a fairly good read. I enjoyed getting to know the various characters and the plot was decent. I will read the next two books in the series as well to find out what happens to the other members of the Castle of Dark Dreams.

Donna, a reporter, is given an assignment to report on an adult theme park, the Castle of Dark Dreams, for 5 days. Attached to the theme park is a hotel where Donna lives during that time. But so does the resident vampire, Eric. Little does Donna and park participants know that Eric is not just playing a vampire, but is a real vampire. Donna, usually cautious before taking action, finds herself irresistibly attracted to Eric. At first Eric sees Donna as a potential sex partner for the week but then he starts falling for her. At the same time, Eric is being pursued by an old enemy. Good suspense, romance and wacky characters surrounding the main characters. A satisfying ending with the 2 main characters changing for the better.

I thought the book was OK. Too many sex scenes if you ask me. The author could have worked more with the story & left out some of the sex. It took me awhile to start to really like the characters. By the end of the book I really liked the characters. I may read the next book in the Wicked series.

I found this series quite by accident, but it turned out to be a wonderful accident. For those who like paranormal romance, this is a good one. Good storyline, clever dialogue, and very likeable characters.

A very predictable book from Chapter 1. Woman reporter, 800 year old Vampire, erotic castle of dark dreams, and love at first sight.

I wasn't really surprised by anything that happened in this book. The vampire is a bit too romantic. Yet, if you like woman meet immortal and he falls in love, then this is a book for you.

I have the paperback copy of this book, so I wanted to let someone have the trade size book. Great book and it stands alone, but you need to read the other books by Nina Bangs. They all tie in together.
