This is a historical, but a much more graphic one. I was very let down in this book. It tells the story of a young woman who is ruined for revenge and her attempt at getting even. I was disappointed

Fayre Carlisle is such a great heroine. Heart broken and betrayed by the man she thought she loved, Fayre sets out to show london just what she is made of. Teaming up with Maccus Brawley the two set out to bring down Fayre's fickle lover and her father's ex-mistress. MAccus and Fayre are so magnetic. I am eagerly awaiting the next carlisle entry!
My first read by this author ... can't wait to read more!

A most enjoyable read. The chemistry between the H/H was very well played. I have read the second one in the series and enjoyed that as well. Barbara Pierce is a new author for me and I will definitely read more.
First book in Barbara Pierce's Carlisle family series. Terrific story! Starts out with a bang and never lets up. Wonderful historical writer.
