Holy Cannoli....I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!

I haven't read much by Kaira Rouda yet (only this and The Next Wife), but I've given both 5-star reviews, so that is going to change VERY quickly! I am going to go out and get ALL things Kaira Rouda because she's got it going on!

When thinking about this story, and the characters, I honestly can't help but chuckle a little, because everything about this story is just the perfect combination, in my option! The story is a little like some that we've heard before, but with oh-so-many twists after twists that you'll never see coming, as well as a surprise ending, that certainly left me smiling!

Honestly...a lot of the characters were NOT likable, but for this story...it worked! Sometimes...that can completely ruin a story, but not for this one! LITERARY GENIUS!

The Widow is narrated by a remarkable cast consisting of Donna Postel, George Newbern, and Nancy Wu. Each one of these narrators are amazing, in their own right, but put them all together and what you have is absolute perfection!

Overall, this is one of my favorite books that I've read in 2024 thus far! I honestly can't wait to read the rest of what Rouda has, because I feel like all of them are going to be amazing reads!

I was surprised with this book, when I started it I didn't know if I'd finish it because it is political -- kinda

It's story of Jody the wife of the Congressman Martin Asher, and about the cheating and ruthlessness of what goes on in Washington D.C. - the woman behind the men

I was surprised but the writing is very easy to read and the story is captivating, it has 3 POV, Jody, her husband Martin, and their friend Mimi who has influence ties

If it grabs your attention you can read it in one day
