This is the second in the Tres Navarre series and while there is still plenty of humor and pithy dialog, this book is a little long. It rambles a bit and delves more deeply into the workings of the Texas country music scene than I would ordinarily appreciate. Still, it's a good read. Tres and his cat Robert Johnson are two of my favorite characters in fiction. I'll definitely continue with this series.
