I actually liked this one. She is a little formulaic at times in her books but this one had a different twist to it. Been looking forward to it since Nathan was rescued -- and it didn't disappoint me. Liked that the heroine was strong, had a brain, and didn't back down. He went through some pretty horrific things and I think the author didn't settle for making it easy in this one. He was still damaged but deep down had a heart. As an FYI - If your not familiar with this author be aware the sex scenes can be considered by some as adventurous - a little rough with an anal sex scene at the end (showing commitment, etc that this author tends to feature in many of her titles).

My first Lora Leigh book. Well, after the first six-page-long description of Nathan and Sabella having sex, the constant descriptions of their having sex was just overbearing; just too much. It had a pretty good storyline, but it was so overpowered by the repeated and long, vivid descriptions of their making love. I guess that must be what Lora Leigh is known for: sex, sex and more sex. After their lovemaking has been described two or three times, it's just ho-hum, boring. Just too much sex and not enough story.

I loved this book. I've read all the ones before this one...and so far I think this has the best story line. Not for the faint of heart...the sex does get a little rough at times. Good, HOT, STEAMY read!

This book will drive you crazy but in a good way. I literally put it down in frustration only to find myself picking it back up a few minutes later. I had a hard time with the character not telling his wife who he was and how devastated she was from his loss. I was happy with the outcome of the book and ended up loving it. It actually made me tear up in some parts. Love Lora Leigh and have to say I would recommend this book even though it is an emotional rollercoster from page 1.

Found the story predictable and the lead female way too whiny

Ugh. Very cliche and almost boring. There's more "Oh baby, yeah!" then storyline...(rolling eyes); this book is too long by half.

Definitely Lora Leigh's best Navy Seal book yet! All 4 books are great, but the two main characters in Wild Card are absolutely alpha-male and alpha-female! Everything is wilder, hotter, more graphic. Couldn't put it down, was very sad when it ended. Can't wait for the next one. 5 STARS!

If you love Lora Leigh then you will definitely love this book. This is the first in the series and I fell in love with the charactors. You will feel their pain, fear, sadness, love and passion.

I have read Lora Leighs Breed series, so i gave this one a chance. I don't usually like government, spy, or political based stories. But this one had a mystery/thriller kind of base story to it so i gave it a chance. And i was not disappointed, i loved it, couldn't put it down. As with all Lora Leigh stories, the sexual attraction is mind blowing and the sex scenes leave nothing to the imagination. But there is a story here. There are people turning up dead in the Texas desert, killed in a horrible fashion, and too many for anyone to ignore now. Nathan, now Noah, is sent to his old home town to find the truth and stop the murders. But he finds it hard to keep his hands off his wife. She doesn't know who Noah is or why he is really there, she thinks he is just another mechanic her brother-in-law hired. But a woman always knows who her soul belongs to....the face may have been changed but the heart always knows who holds it. The path that Nathan (Noah) and Bella take thru their grief and pain to find each other again, really brings the characters to life for me and i found myself routing for them to have that happy ending. Some of the bad guys were predictable, but there were still a few suprises in store. Can't wait to read the rest of this series.

I enjoyed this book. This was the second Lora Leigh I've read. I did like the characters, although I was getting frustrated with Noah when he kept thinking he could actually leave Sabella after realizing their soul connection was unbreakable. The sex as usual was hot and steamy!

We finally learn more of what happened to Nathan Malone in captivity and his life before being captured. Now get ready to blast the air conditioner because this is one HOT book! Lora Leigh does NOT disappoint! Passion, suspense, lovely raunch, and a good story too!
WILD CARD is an intoxicating first installment of a brand new series. And it leaves space for more stories on Nik, Micah,R ory and Jordan.
Really enjoyed this one and if you're a Lora Leigh fan I'm sure you will too.

I loved this book so much I plan to keep it forever. I fell in love with the Gaelic he spoke to her and how she found Nathan....errr Noah after all that time. That love still finds a way. It was an excellent read.

Awesome book! I couldn't wait to get this one since I felt like it was the conclusion to the rest of the Seal series. Loved the soul deep connection that Nathan/Noah and Sabella had with each other. Enjoyed the hidden "secrets" they both discovered about each other as well. Definitely erotic but there was so much more to this book than just the sex scenes. It's a keeper!

This was by far the best book I've read by Lora Leigh. I really loved the story line and the characters. I agree that Leigh does tend to get formulaic, but this book was pretty different from her other SEALS novels.
Best of the Seal series. I wanted to cry through the whole book. Emotional. Nathan's story. He's the Seal Diego Fuentes tortured and drugged with a date rape drug when he was caught trying to rescue the kidnapped daughter's of senators. He wouldn't break his wedding vows through the torture.
Awesome book! Great story!!
i loved this book. it was hot and steamy with a wonderful love story and action.
This book was great. I am just love reading Lora Leigh. In this book you have the husband that has returned back from the dead to protect his wife. And finds a family secret out that explains a lot. If you like the alpha male then you will love this book. This is a very HOT read. This is part of the Elite Ops series, but you can read all of these books out of order. Again, if you are looking for a HOT read then this book will do it.
It is sex-filled as in the norm with Lora Leigh's book. However, it is also very suspenseful. A very sexy and good read.
This is the best book so far. Lora Leigh continues what she started in the Navy SEALs series with Dangerous Game, Hidden Agendas and Killer Secrets. This book is the bridge betwen the 2 series. Noah/Nathan's story is heartbreaking but you are drawn to him and Sabella.
Not my favorite Lora Leigh Elite Ops book. Dangerous Game is a better book by the same author. Wild Card is awful. Six years has gone by, but the heroine is still in mourning for her former SEAL husband who "died" in a mission. I found the heroine far too needy and whiny. She wants him. She doesn't want him. She doesn't want anyone. She wants this new guy. Ugh. I wanted to slap her face and tell her to make up her mind. I prefer women who aren't constantly shifting from hot to cold. She's also one of the most spineless heroines I've come across. She supposedly runs an auto repair shop, but has no control over who gets hired or fired. She also puts up with an incredible amount of male domination, lying, and manipulation without ever really doing anything about it. He has few redeeming qualities. He lies to her constantly and betrayed her in an incredible way by staying away from her for six years and making her think he was dead. When he comes back, he stalks her, lies to her, spies on her, yells at her, etc. Call me weird, but I didn't find any of that loving or romantic.
This book could have been about a 100 pages shorter for they have the same argument over and over.

A very x-rated read.
I think this book is my favorite by Lora Leigh, although I love all of them. This one was great! This story made me cry, it was emotional. Great love story! Very much recommended!

Hands down my favorite Lora Leigh book to date. What a love story that also has hot sex scenes! Touches on the all to prevalent but not spoken "just because you're married to someone doesn't mean they know everything you like, want or need."
I didn't care for this book. Does anyone believe that people, at a horrific moment in their lives, would sign a contract declaring themselves dead and actually be expected to live up to it?
And how could any wife not recognize her own husband? And not be totally outraged by him (and everyone else) lying to her?
REALLY graphic sex in this book. REALLY graphic but I guess that is pretty typical of Lora Leigh books.

Very hot! Unusual story line, although I thought the whole thing about the Whore's Dust and abstinence was a little far-fetched. For more detailes of Nathan's captivity you might want to read Hidden Agendas as well.
Nathan(Noah) and Sabella(Bella) WOW!!!! is all i can say. this story is crazy HOT and very emotional. i actually cried, even after the 3rd time reading it. Nathan is just intense and HOT. Bella is just a kick ass woman. loved this story SO much. really made me think. i was routing 4 them from the start. LOVED this story. a lil longer than others bc of so much info starting of Elite Ops series, but so damn worth it. Def. read SEALs Series 1st 2 understand how this all happened n why. AMAZING! KEEPER!!
yum. great characters. nice to read about a married couple that can find love and excitement in a loving marriage though it does take them in an interesting way to find their love.
lots of fast-paced action.
WOW! What a HOT book! Great story line with lots of SEX!
10 stars! my most favorite Lora Leigh book to date. I havent really cared for the other books in this series but this book is terrific a must read!!
Very intense - this is Nathan/Noah's story - six years have passed and now he [finally!] has to confront his past & wife...
This book was awesome!!!
The first book of the series (Elite Ops) and way hot!!!
definetly recommend....also would suggest to read in order as the characters do show up in the other books.

This was the first Lora Leigh book that I've read and I have to say I'm hooked already. I've already started searching for the next book in the Elite Ops series.
As several readers have said before, Lora Leigh is about sex and more sex. Be prepared to read a lot of descriptive sex. However, the action combined with the sex makes for a fantastic read.

Shooooo, hot, hot, hot.....
Wow! It was worth my time to wait for this one.
Hot, emotional, deeply intense, veryyy verrrrry sexxxxy.
i enjoy lora leigh writings. true love doesn't die.
I loved this book! I am a long-time fan of Lora Leigh's...going way back to all the e-books right up to the more mainstream fare she is offering. This is her best series, by far, and this latest release "Wild Card" is the best of the series. Is it hot? YES! Does it have suspense? YES!! Does she pull you in to the lives of the characters and make you care about them? YES!!! I had been waiting and hoping for a book about Nathen, and the intricasies of his story was well worth the wait. From what I can tell (and am hoping...) this story is a spin-off that will lead to a new set of sexy and Elite soldiers--this time with an international edge. Just the thought of more of Lora Leigh's sexy warrior soldiers oming out of the word work makes my toes curl and my imagination start pumping...
Super Hot!
Loved the plot of this book, very different from your normal romance.
