"Wild Horses" combines the nitty gritty of making a feature length film with a 26-year-old murder mystery within the racing community of Newmarket. Fast-paced and enjoyable read with believable characters.

I love Dick Francis' books, all his books keep you guessing until the very end. This one is very different from his usual stories, some horse racing, but not the main theme....

Great Francis as usual. Wonderful mystery, love the stories, love horses.
Dick Francis is a great storyteller, and he deviates from his usual race track plots in this one. It is about making a movie and I really liked the new twist. Guess I just like to pretend I could live in GB and soak up that historic atmosphere. If you're a Francis fan, I think you'll enjoy this bit of a different slant on things.

This is the first Dick Francis novel that I have listened to - after finishing this one, I'll probably seek out more of his offerings.
Wild Horses to me, has no loose ends. The pacing is above par, and most importantly, at no point was I ever bored! This book was thouroghly entertaining - which is a rarity for me lately.

Another "highly readable" book from Dick Francis. I'll admit to liking some of his books more than others, but this is one of his good ones. In this case, the hero is a movie director, out to solve a 26-year-old mysterious death all while directing a mega-star in what will eventually be an Oscar winning film. There are horses, of course, amidst all the movie-making. This is another gentle, yet fast-paced winner from Dick Francis. I enjoyed this book immensely.

You can't beat Dick Francis for good, solid, gripping mysteries. They are always intelligent, well-written, & you can't wait to hear what happens.
