I've read all the previous stories and loved them and had no problems, this one had parts that slowed me down where it didn't keep my attention, usually a book in the 300 pages takes me a day, this was shorter and took me 3 days to get through it. But to read Guardian's Mate book 9 you'll need to read this one to see why Zander came to Austin, TX from Alaska
