A wonderful story set in the middle ages with lots of intrigue and good sex scenes! Rather risque and I loved it.

Lady Apryll agrees to her half=brother's plan to seduce the baron of Black Thorn and keep him occupied while the half=brother raids his treasury, steals his horses, etc. However, when Apryll begins the seduction, she realizes that she's captivated by his brooding, roguish ways. And, when her half-brother leaves her stranded and the baron captures her, she knows she must not only guard her life...but her heart as well. An enjoyable book with lots of action, intrigue and passion.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the story of her showing up uninvited to his Christmas celebration and being so bold as to dance and flirt with the handsome lord. Things took a turn for the worst soon after that but the passion really started to heat up between them. I would definitely recommend this book to others.

Pretty interesting story, moved along at a good pace and the characters were well thought out. Middle ages so I won't tear into the stupidity of Apryll and how she could still think her brother would coming to get her.
The entitlement of Devlynn to Apryll and his back and forth.

Every eye in the great hall was on Lady Apryll. In a clinging white gown, she floated through the revelers like a wanton angel, inflaming the interest of Lord Devlynn. Brazenly he took her in his arms and promise her ecstasy. Before the night was over, she vanished-- along with the castle jewels, the lord\'s finest horses, and his young son. All that remained of the kidnapping temptress was her gown pooled upon his chamber floor, mysteriously stained with blood...

But Devlynn\'s plan to punish her goes awry when he discovers Apryll\'s true motives and her own betrayal by those she trusted. For his greatest weakness is his undeniable attraction to the seductive woman whose kisses can carry the sting of treason.
