This book is a page turner. The story starts out with 3 men meeting a woman in a bar and where the story leads from there will leave a twist at the end. If you can tolerate some of the foul language in this book then I would recommend reading it.

It begins one night in a South Beach bar called The Wild Zone. The players include a bartender (Kristin); a mysterious woman who orders Pomegranate martinis (Suzy); and three guys with various vulnerabilities, axes to grind, and history: Jeff, Tom, and Tom's younger half-brother Will.

Jeff and Tom have been friends for a long time and served in Afghanistan together, returning home with very different records: Jeff, with a medal, and Tom, a dishonorable discharge.

When the three men first catch a glimpse of the mysterious Suzy that night, they bet with one another about who can bed the woman.

Hours later, the beginnings of a very convoluted plan is set in motion.

What agenda is dictating Suzy's actions? And what rivalries between Jeff, Tom, and Will define their actions over the next few days? Who will win Suzy's heart and help her escape from her abusive husband? And what does Kristin have to do with everything that soon happens?

As events begin to escalate, everything falls into place and the complete agenda is revealed.

Without spoiling the plot, this is about all I can say, except that the plot was suspenseful and totally captivated my attention; the characters were realistic, vulnerable, and flawed. How the puzzle finally fits together was surprising to me, although there were certainly clues along the way.

I loved this book. I really enjoy when chapters are broken up to put you in the head of each character. So many stories in one that blindside you in the end. Will definitely consider another of her books in the future.

This another Joy Fielding wild ride. Fairly predictable, with characters that are not likeable, but still a good read.

Some of Joy Fielding's books have been those that I could not put down. I cannot say that about this one. Although I finished it...I usually do not waste my time if a book does not keep my interest....it was a bit of a push. I am not sure it was worth the effort.

A shocker of an ending. I was cought completely off guard on how this book ended. It starts off a little slow, but it picks up and then you can't put it down. Not as good as Charley's Web, but the ending makes it all worth while.
