I think this is a fantastic story with a great ending, but the writing was bad. I think V.C. Andrews shoulda just told the story to a writer and have them put it in words. Star, who is supposed to ba a black girl from the ghetto talks with the same vocabulary as the rich girl from Beverly Hills. Just not very realistic to me.

I enjoyed reading this book as much as any other V.C. Andrews book. They are interesting stories and you get into the lives of the characters. I like getting detailed backgrounds on each character and seeing how their lives change for the good by the end of the story.
