If you read the Myron Bolitar series then you know about Win, his friend who is very rich, so this book is solely about Win and how rich he is and nearly every page tells you how rich he is---rich rich rich---gets boring and I still don't know how they got so rich
So the story goes back 25 yrs ago when his family had a robbery/kidnapping, so now? it just gets confusing and more confusing.
The main plot gets lost in all the side stories and there are a lot of those as Coben seems to think every character needs a 'story'--again---boring
The main story just doesn't move along very fast because you have to read pages and pages of descriptions of all the 'doors that open' to the rich and all the namedropping of clothing, wine, food etc---again---boring
Also you have to endure the 'special sex' arrangements through an app for people that are rich if you don't have 100 million then don't apply

So all in all? Just a very boring boring book, just flip to the back and get the 'who dunnit' and you're done

This was the first book by Harlan Coben that I could not finish! I only made it to page 58. The "hero" of this book is immensely unlikeable- he's super rich, conceited, misogynistic, degrades women, and thinks he's God's gift to mankind. And yes, he tells us on every page that it's because he's rich. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

I'm a big Harlan Coben fan and loved, loved the Myron Bolitar series. I enjoy having Win in those stories but I did not enjoy this book about his life, his family and a mystery he is caught up in. It was a bit boring. I got tired of hearing how rich he is, how he has privilege's because he is rich, or how rich people rule the world. Literally every other page mentioned something about being one of the elite. Plus there were many, many mentions of how he and Myron were such great friends. There were some surprises but I had figured a lot out by the middle of the book. It has the same feel of the Bolitar books but if you skipped this, you wouldn't be missing much.
