This book is a cut above the mass of other writings on this subject for several reasons:
-It doesn't take sides: All three parties in this triangle are shown to have strengths and flaws.
-It keeps an historical perspective, including the relationship of Charles' great grandfather Edward VII and Camilla's great, great grandmother Mrs. Keppel as well as the other most famous royal scandal of Edward VIII and Mrs. Simpson, "the woman I love".
-It is well written as the author is a journalist in his own right and not just a disgruntled or exploitive former employee with a ghost writer.
-It is comprehensive, starting from the time of Camilla and Charles' first encounters, through Diana's death and finishing at the time of Camilla's rehabilitation just before their wedding.
Of all the players, I really knew the least about Camilla and so this book has given me a much more faceted picture of the entire situation.
