Meredith and Nina were never close to their mother but before their father died he encouraged them to have their mother tell the whole story of the 'fairy tale' she never seemed to finish, so after their father dies they get the chance to be their mother long enough to have her tell the whole story intermittenly, they soon realize why they always felt she pushed them away but when the story ends it has brought a family together and made their lives more enriched.
