Cy Parks has been mentioned in so many Jacobsville, TX stories by Diana Palmer that I could hardly resist finally reading his own.
If you're a Diana Palmer fan and know what kind of story to expect, you won't be disappointed. As it is often difficult to keep track of which story is which, here is the back cover blurb:
"Most everyone in Jacobsville, Texas, steered clear of taciturn Cy Parks. However, spiritied Lisa Monroe wasn't exactly quaking in her boots, and electrified the formidable loner with her sweetly tantalizing kisses. Their fiery passion escalated when the winter soldier returned to the line of duty - and claimed the lovely Lisa as his bride, to shield her from a revenge-seeking desperado. Clearly, Cy was getting mighty possessive of this enchanting woman who needed the type of safeguarding only he could provide. But who would protect the beguiling bride from him...?

As an avid reader and fan of Diana Palmer this story is one of my favorites because it is not only set in Jacobsville, TX but Cy is one of the soldier of fortune. Cy is a strong, angry, unforgiving character in typical Palmer style. Lisa while sweet, caring and accomodating is also a person of inner strength and determination. I higly recommend this book for all Diana Palmer fans. Definate 4.5!

Cy Parks dwcides to help the widowed and pregnant Lisa Monroe, much against his inclinations. He doesn't want to get involved, but she is about to fall flat on her face.
