The good news...very well drawn characters. Indepth description, and interesting period. However, it was a bit too drawn out. I had to skip ahead some so I didn't get bored. The ending was nicely wrapped up and the main character, finally does the one thing we have been waiting for throughout the entire book.

I found this to be more agony than delight. It was slow and tedious in many sections. I had to fast-forward in several areas when it labored along with nothing new to contribute. I didn't lose any important information. Finally, the last quarter of the book started to meet its stride and wrapped up. We eventually learn if she speaks or not.
