I usually love Curtiss Ann Matlock's books, but I found this one hard going.
Pregnat and alone, pretty young windoew Etta Rivers had little to show from her marrtiage but her beloved unborn child---and a debit-ridden ramch her ne'er-do-well husbamd had left her. Then into her life sauntered Johnny Bellah. The long, lean drifter had a way with horses...and women, but although the ruggged cowvboy rekindled in Etta a passionaate tenderness she'd long ago forgotten, she vowed she woulden't fall under his sensuscous spellr
Great story, good as usual from Matlock.
