I am sorry that I cannot post this book as I read a library copy of it. I had never read anything from this author but had heard good things about him and love to read Christmas stories. This one had me laughing from the start to the finish. The charactors reminded me of the times when I grew up which was fun, but the author has a way of bringing everything together in a fun and inspiring way. You will not find this a traditional Christmas book type read, so do not feel cheated in the beginning, just keep reading. Take a chance on this one and ENJOY!

I absolutely loved this book!! The characters popped off the page and made me laugh throughout the book. Wally Lamb has a unique gift for storytelling that makes his characters so rich and life like. I'm looking forwad to reading it again with my bookclub!

Wally Lamb's writing captures the reader's attention through his humorous style of writing. The book had me laughing out loud many times. Madame Marguerite & the Russian classmate's dialogue is quite funny, as well as their characters. Perhaps one of the funniest parts of the book is the performance of the 'tableaux vivants, or the living pictures; the Christmas program. The performance is one filled with theatrics of a special kind.... A great and fun read..
What a charming read! Had me laughing out loud!
