If you like your paranormals with 20 pages of sex scenes at a time, and little character development or plot, then this is the book for you!
The male protagonist, Jack, is a slut. When he meets the female protagonist, Mira, she's "frigid" and recovering from a bad marriage. The rest of the book is 3/4 "we're so hot in bed together," and 1/4 plot and character development. Overall, a boring read.

I was disappointed in this...I thought it would be more of a supernatural thriller...in the Kelley Armstrong or Kim Harrison kind of vein, but as it turns out, it was more of a disguised romance novel - and a not-particularly good one, at that.

I finished this book in about 4 hours. It seemed more like very thinly veiled erotica than an actual plot-based book.
Mira, a hereditary Air witch, doesn't know much about her family line, and nothing about the fact that she has magick at her fingertips. Jack, a Fire witch, is sworn to protect her...and can't keep from bedding her in the process. Bast approaches the realm of Elemental Witches with a bit of Wiccan mindset mixxed with a lot of fantasy.
I'm finding that many of the "newer" authors in this genre are just using their books as a way to relieve their own sexual tension or to let their "Mary Sue"s run rampant. *shrug*

Too much mush and not enough action

This is a start of a new series about witches. This was a very steamy read. For as sensual as it was, I thought it had well developed characters. There could have been more world building though. Overall I enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.

Although the premise of the story was good, and the storyline itself was pretty good, I was distracted by the ameteurish sex scenes which appeared on almost every page. At least in the beginning....I found I couldn't go on. On top of that, it was so obviously written by a woman. Which is normally great, but I guess our chemistry just wasn't right.

Not real thrilled with this one. Didn't like writing style and the extra long sex scenes.

Not a bad book but be warned, lots and lots of sex. I'll more than likely read the next one.

I really liked this book. It's heated romance with some end of the world as we know it in the background. The "they shouldn't be together" was a little weak for how efficiently it kept them apart, but well-written and edited otherwise. I liked it so much that I put the rest of the list on my wish list and am trying most of her other series. =)

An ok book but too many sex scenes. I was hoping for more magic but it was just a lot of erotica.

I expected this book to have some heat, but it had TOO much and I couldn't finish it. I read a lot of the paranormal romances, such as Laurel Hamilton for example, so am no stranger to the sex. Unfortunately in this book, it seemed the sexual tension eclipsed a weaker story line, and I just gave up on it.

If you are looking for a story about witches, forget this IT's just a "romance novel", some soft porn masquerading as a real story. I could not even finish it.
Very fun, and full of surprises, sex, lies and magic. Definately makes we want to read more of this author!
Mira Hoskins doesn't know she's a natural-born witch who possesses the rare - and powerful- element of air. And she never expects to find herself tied to a mahogany bed frame, captive of a man who aches to fulfill her every desire and let loose the magick that dwells inside her...
The chemestry between the two main characters, and the actual plot is well done. This is a new author that I am looking foward to reading more from!

This book was a wonderful first to a new series. Forwarning though it is STEAMY hot with LOTS of sex. I did enjoy the storyline as well as the romance. Can't wait to get my grubby hands on the next one. I really liked the way the author writes.
Quick easy read. Not a bad book but had little plot or character develpment as others have said. A disappointment b/c I thougth the book had some great potential. Overall not a bad read but I was expecting so much more. 2.5 stars.

The ending was too easy and expected, but the book was a fast read. It has undertones of 50 shades if you like that sort of thing :)
good book, now i'm going to read the 2nd book!
Really enjoyed this book. Will read the next one.
Well I loved all the sex between Mira and Jack and it was nice to see Jack take charge and protect his woman.
Anya Bast has just gotten another fan of her writing!!!
