I really enjoy books written by Dee Henderson. Her books have no sex and while some situations lend themselves to violence, she is not too graphic. There is always adventure, mystery and romance in her books and this book does nto disappoint. A woman on the run from danger but not as much danger for herself as for those she loves. This isn't the happy ending that one would expect from a romance novel but God is part of the solution and the book satisfied the need to read something with less sexual scenes than many romance novels have.
This one holds your attention. Henderson makes her characters live. Good mystery, good romance, lots of surprises.

Worth the read, but don't expect the quality of the two series she's written.

very good plot with a good twist (that i was able to predict). however, i was disappointed in it. i was looking forward to something more like the O'Malley Series. but regardless, it was entertaining and took no time to read.

I'm not a big fan of suspense books generally, but I thought this one was very well done and I enjoyed it.

A killer lures a murder witness out of hiding by targeting her sisters. The police chief and his two detectives-all falling in love with different sisters-make it their personal missions to keep the women safe. This suspenseful romantic thriller will keep you turning pages.

Just bought it and just finished reading it -- GREAT! Guess I'll have to wait awhile before Dee Henderson has a new one.

Plot: I really enjoyed the plot. From page one, you are thrown into conflict and it doesn't end until the last chapter. There are so many twists and turns that when something begins to seem predictable, the story goes in another direction.
Characters: It was hard to identify with the characters in this book. I understand that some of the characters needed to have their identities more shaded, but I felt that all of them were portrayed in this way. I didn't feel that there was enough personal qualities to really understand them. The characters were seen at work and in their relationships, but they were rarely alone and described personally.
Themes: The main theme in this story is trust. The characters have to learn to trust each other through everything that is happening around them. There is also a focus on trusting in God in all of life's circumstances, good or bad. The author does an excellent job of allowing the characters to grow in trust from the very begging.
Emotion: There was not a lot of emotional entanglement with this book. I read it and moved on. There wasn't a lot left to contemplate. There were times in the book when I was shocked or surprised, but overall, it was pretty dry.
Overall: There were many times, while reading this book, that I had to re-read parts because they didn't seem to make sense. Many times, even after going back, those parts still didn't make a lot of sense. I feel as if this book as a whole needs some editing.

This book had a great plot. I found my mind wandering a lot and it took me a lot longer to read it. I think it was because it was too wordy. But you read it and see if you have the same problem.

Enjoyed the book but not the ending. The characters seemed developed only to a very immature level. I know it was to show they were behaving as Christians but come on...how about a little more passion? A lot was left unanswered and that which was answered left a lot to be desired. The ending threw in a "red herring" and didn't describe why events transpired as they did. Maybe a sequel is in the works???

As always Dee Hnderson has done a great job. This story had a good balance of mystery that kept you guessing at the who-dun-it and an engaging personal story to keep the story flowing. As she is good at, there are surprises that you don't see coming. I am hoping that she takes these characters and makes a series. There are a few minor characters that need their story told -- Caroline and Daniel to name two.

Great read. Couldn't put it down.
This is one of her best!! Kept me reading for a long time!!
Always enjoy her books and this was no exception!
I LOVE Dee Henderson's books...she has a way of writing Christian romance/suspense, that I haven't found any where else!! Although this isn't quite up to her O'Malley series, I still finished it quickly, and enjoyed (of course) the read. Worth the time!!
Not one of my favorites by this author. Dee Henderson can spin a fantasticly suspensful tale, but this one seem a bit rushed and a little too neatly packaged. Still, if you are not familiar with this author, she is worth the read.
not bad for a Christian novel. i normally wouldn't have picked this book if i had known it was a Christian novel but it wasn't preachy. It was really low violence, no cursing and no sex.
Not her best book. It has a great story but it doesn't flow well.
Amanda Griffin is on the run. Eight years ago she disappeared after witnessing a terrible crime. Now her family thinks she is dead, but she is back in town...desperate to find a way to protect the ones she loves. If you liked the O'Malley series by Dee Henderson, you'll like this book.
Great book!
Very good Christian fiction.
Fast read, good plot.
very good story with mystery and romance. I liked it very much. will want to read more of Dee Henderson
I was very disappointed in this book. I have read other books by Dee Henderson and really liked them, but this book seemed to start slow and really went nowhere. Sorry, but it wasn't my favorite Dee Henderson book.
A fast-paeced thriller with good values.
A nice easy read. I do feel like the plot of the story was skimmed over with not a lot of detail in some areas. I know this is supposed to be a Christian book -- so murder details and relationship details are left out. but I feel that is what kept this okay book from being really good.
Dee Henderson is one of my favorite authors. The Witness has great character development and unexpected events. I kept wanting to read to find out what happens next. This is a stand alone book and if you like it read The O'Malley series by Henderson.
So nice to get absorbed into a story of Christian cops. Very well written. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
As all of Dee Henderson's books, this one keeps you on your toes. You don't want to put it down. I really appreciate a clean, Christian, mystery. There is no bad language, or anything obscene, which I really appreciate. She can tell a great story without all o this. I highly recommend it to anyone.
Another excellent book from Henderson. The Witness is packed with intrigue, suspense and a dash of romance. A story with so many twist and turns, I couldn't wait to find out what happened next.
Great story
This was my first Dee Henderson novel and I did enjoy it. Luke Granger finds an eyewitness to a multiple murder in the mall jewelry store and the police are able to arrest and convict the guy. Luke was concerned, however, when his eyewitness just disappeared into thin air. He does find her and she begs him to let her go. She is a star witness for the FBI prosecution of gang-like fraud, harassment, murder, theft, etc. She has been on the run for nearly 10 years. Three years later, two sisters become multi-millionaires when their father (who was unknown to them) died and left them 30 million dollars each. Suddenly, life for them gets complicated and dangerous. Luke, Marsh and Connor (two homicide detectives) work together to make the sisters safe. Luke's mystery woman appears back in town to protect her two sisters and it is a perilous race against time who gets whom first. Great suspense and nice love stories. The characters were a little bit too "nice" though; too perfect. This is a Christian novelist and she does a great job keeping you in suspense and relating the dangers and violence but all of the main characters could not possibly be that wonderful!

Really enjoyed this one. Again, Dee Henderson creates such wonderful characters. Her stories are so intense. The book is hard to put down.
Christian suspense - I usually love Dee Henderson's books. Can't really tell you why this one didn't click with me.
I enjoyed the calming suspense to this book, keep me interested but not nailed to my seat.
