This was a good book from Amber Frey's perspective. I'm sort of surprised, though, it took her as long as it did to not put the pieces together that there was something seriously wrong with Scott but I guess she was blinded by love. I didn't know it had been such a short time that they were even seeing one another before Laci and Conner turned up missing. I was so glad to see how Amber helped the police with the investigation by talking to Scott to try to coax information from him. Overall, it was a good and easy read. I read it in one night because I just couldn't put it down.

Even though I had followed the Peterson story from the beginning, it was still fascinating to read Amber Frey's account of her daily involvement and her life before and since.

Really sad read. It's horrible how you can think about a person one way and then find out something horribly different. It makes you wonder who you can really trust.

Very interesting as to how this so called "Man" he can be, to lie to both women and kill his wife and his unborn child to reconnect with Amber. A really good book for the ladies, very interesting.

Amber Frey reveals what happened in her mind and heart before and after Laci Peterson's disappearance, how she helped with the police investigation, why she feared for her own life and that of her daughter, what she thinks about Scott Peterson now, and how her faith guided her through the experience. A quick read that elicits sympathy for this young woman who was inadvertently connected to a horrible crime.

Lots of interesting information and conversations she had with Scott in this book.

Amber Frey, the unknowing mistress of Scott Peterson. Two thumbs up for her courage to come forward on behalf of Laci and Conner. Would Scott Peterson have gotten away with murder had he never met Amber Frey?

This book was a very fast read. And very intresting, not for the sake of Laci or Connor, but what exactly went on in Laci/Scotts relationship before her disapperance, as well as what went on in Amber and Scott's relationship.. All the lies about his wife not being alive before she actually went missing, and him traveling over the time she was missing. Him killin her and throughing her in the ocean. All in all it's a sad book highly recommended read.

Amber thought Scott Peterson was exciting, funny, handsome and single. She fell in love with him and so did herdaughter. He was cunning and played a sick charade. When Amber thought he killed his wife she turned the cards on him. What Scott did was beyond terrible and he deserves to be on death row and not out in the public. This book went deep into Amber's heartache and was very touching how she opened herself up to the scrutiny of the public eye.

Such a sad tale. The book is quite good. Lots of insights we who followed the trial were not privy too. I found myself feeling very sorry for Amber. She wanted a normal life with a loving partner and this clouded the way she saw Scott Peterson. Thak goodness she did figure him out and aided the prosecution in putting this murderer away.

The case against Scott Peterson may have had a very different outcome if wasn't for the bravery and willingness of Amber Frey. Amber stepped forward to aid the police in their investigation of Scott Peterson and helped to bring him to justice.

Interesting. All from her perspective, which I learned a lot from that I never knew. Was very into this case when it was going on, but this was behind the scenes stuff that she got into. Glad I read it, shed some light onto she was portrayed by the media.

I liked this book. It was a quick read and very informative. Amber Frey did a good job of telling the story of her relationship with Scott Peterson an the events leading up to his arrest and trial as well as including tidbits of her life that were not known to the public during that time.

I'd never met Laci Peterson, and all I'd ever seen of her was a grainy photograph on the Internet. But I wanted to help her. I wanted to believe that she and her child were alive and that I could keep them alive and bring them home safely. It was the oddest feeling: I thought Laci Peterson needed me; I thought she was counting on me to bring her and her baby home.
