Shifting romances are NOT my thing but I was desperate for a different romance. Turned out this one had a few pleasant surprises.
I do like it when the hero is obviously besotted by his choice and a heroine who is no pushover provides a nice balance to his eagerness. The villainous plot doesn't seem so threatening since the main couple, et al take center stage. The story does bog down a bit with all the shifting history and explanations, but I felt that Felicity and Alfred's sexual chemistry was really romantic. Nice! 3.5 stars.
