I received this book as a Goodreads first-reads winner.
This booked roped me in right away. The action starts immediately. Sometimes I get annoyed with the format of alternating plot lines for every other chapter but this one read ok. What turned out to be a bit disappointing for me was the "why" reasoning for everything that is happening. The whole story is ultimately why these people are doing the heinous things they are doing to each other and when I found out why I didn't think it was enough. That being said, I still really enjoyed this book and the characters who I thought were well developed. The story flows well and continuously made me have to read "just one more chapter" before I put the book down.
