A woman has everything, a nice home, good husband, great children, and then her husband disappears. No one can find him and she is frantic, as time goes on she has to deal with many obstacles on her own, and many things happen along the way. A good Barbara Delinsky read.

Laura and Jeff Frye have a happy twenty-year marriage and two terrific kids. With a successful catering business as well, Laura has everything she could ask for. Then Jeff mysteriously disappears, and Laura's picture perfect life is shattered. Laura maintains that the Jeff she knew would never leave voluntarily. But what about the Jeff she didn't know? As her husband's many secrets come to light, Laura left with a surprising picture of the man she married. Shaken to the core, Laura looks for ways to hold her family together and rebuild her life. What she finds is a strength she never knew she had -- and a love she thought she had lost forever. With an utterly compelling plot and writing that unerringly goes straight to the essential matters of the heart, this unforgettable story delivers everything that readers have come to love in Barbara Delinsky's novels.
This is a must-read for fans of Barbara Delinsky.

This is a really good book! The suspense is there but none of that bloody, goary stuff is included. It makes you use your imagination and the twist comes at the end!

Her husband abandons the family he feels overpowered by, and Laura has to come to terms with the controlling aspects of her character, and to the realization that she married the wrong man. Very intense, not for a relaxing afternoon read.

If you have yet to read a Barbara Delinsky novel, you don't know what you are missing! Her books are all intrigueing. She knows how to intermingle several stories about complex relationships and she knows how to keep her reader with her right to the end. I really feel I am right there when I read any of her books. She's just great at writing about strong women characters. "Laura Frye has everything a woman could ask for. She and her husband Jeff, a CPA, have been happily married for twenty years.
