I read this under the book "Heart of Winter" which also includes the story "If Winter Comes." I had just finished "Circle of Gold" and thought I found a cool new author for me to read. Unfornately I discovered that this is one of those authors who recycles her characters / plotlines and slaps on a different name. I absolutely hate it when authors do that. What's the point when all their books are going to be the same.
If you have read "Circle of Gold," you have read "Woman Hater." Palmer likes to write about cranky old man getting together with young innocent virgin girls. The girls make fun of the old men's age and the men retaliate by coercing them to have sex and you don't even get any steamy sex scenes.
Absolute waste of time. It wouldn't have been bad if you have never read this author before though. The writing itself isn't bad.
