Color Me Blindsided!

I've read a quite a few EC titles, but I have to say that this may just be my favorite...While it has plenty of (good, well written, hot!) sex scenes in it, Even better is that is has an actual storyline to go along with all that sex! I didn't expect it, so I was pleasantly surprised (more liked shocked) that the plot didn't get abandoned in the name of said sex scenes, but rather it gets carried all the way until the end of the book!....I will admit, that there were a few inconsistencies though nothing to really take away from the overall story...

Usually EC titles take me a few days to read (plenty of breaks) but this one I read straight through despite not wanting it to end! and while most erotica I read and then give away, this one's going on my keeper shelf!

Lisa Marie Rice has shot to the top of my authors to watch (and buy everything they write) list:-) So if you can get a copy I highly recommend it!

I absolutely positively loved this book. I had never heard of this author before this book, but she is definately someone that I will start checking out all her stuff. I will admit that most erotica seems to lose a bit of the plot or story line among the sex scenes. This book grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop until I finished it. They storyline does not take a backseat to the sex lives of the characters. It is all woven together so well that you don't feel the story has been cheated in any way. While the storyline itself isn't necesarily original in that a woman witnesses a murder and goes into witness protection and said bad guys find out where she is and come calling, the way she weaves the story gives it new life and keeps it from becoming a cliche. I absolutely LOVED the way she ended the book. It was an absolutely PERFECT way to end it. That is the first time I have ever truly felt that way about and ending to a book. This is a must have and a must keep as far as I'm concerned.

I loved everything about this totally alpha hero; he's intelligent and intense yet vulnerable, he has fierce protective and fighting instincts, he's possessive, he's big, and he has a sexual appetite and stamina strong enough to make a woman weep in sheer pleasure. Sam Cooper is a permanent fixture in my fantasies. Oh, and it's a great story, too, and highly recommended! 4.5 stars.
