This book is, as Williamson states in her introduction,"a creative spill of my own guts." She does ramble on a bit. It does, however, give some excellent ideas to think about concerning the state of women's place in society.

From inside book, "Drawing deeply and candidly on her own experiences, the author illuminates her thought-provoking positions on such issues as beauty and age, relationships and sex, children and careers, and the reassurance and reassertion of the feminine in a patriarchal society."

Drawing deeply and candidly on her own experiences, Marianne Williamson illuminates her thought-provoking positions on such issues as beauty and age, relationships and sex, children and careers, and the reassurance and reassertion of the feminine in a patriarchal society. Cutting across class, race, religion, and gender, this book speaks powerfully and persuasively o a generationin need of healing, and in search of harmony.

I loved another book Marianne Williamson wrote so decided to order another one of her books. I didn't like this one at all. In fact, I didn't even bother to finish it. Was a real disappointment.

I would recommend this book to all women. How often we forget the loving tender part of us when we choose to play in a mans world. Its time we all embraced the Goddess within and let her shine.

Great book. Really captures the true emotions and experiences of being a woman. That being said, I was very disappointed in the other book of hers I read which had the word grace in title.
