I enjoyed this book. Although at first it seem a bit insulting to men, after asking a few highly regarded men, they confirmed its contents. It was certainly eye-opening and I suggest the book to any women. It's one of the few books I've kept and will read again.

This book sat on my bookshelf TOO LONG!! If I'd been smart, I'd have read it right away, because it was truly enlightening about the inner life of my man, things that he either thought I already knew and understood, or didn't know how to tell me without upsetting me. The author did extensive surveys of men across the country while doing research for a fiction book she was writing, and when she learned things that were true of the majority of straight men that she and her friends did not know or truly understand, she realized she had information that NEEDED to get out to all of us women to help us better understand our guys. Warning: some of it is a bit hard to accept, but it's all to the good... Prayerful attitude changes will help you get over the ones that are hard to take, and both of you will be better off for it! Throughout it all, keep in mind that God created men to BE men, and this information will shed light on some scripture that may seem a little odd without this knowledge about men, such as those in Ephesians 5 telling men to love their wives and women to respect their husbands (there's a reason for those choice of words that has to do with the way men and women are created!) No woman who loves her man should pass up the chance to read this one. Just remember to move it to the top of your "To read" list! :-)

Horrifying! They constantly think of sex, they just won't admit it. Wow. I guess we now know why shaving cream to odor eaters and nearly everything else is geared to sex. They struggle with thoughts of other women regardless of their spiritual beliefs. Well Researched. I got a rude awakening, thinking that as men age they mature - they just don't talk about it.

An excellent book! It is a very small, very concise summary (184 pages)of some of the main things most women don't understand about men. The book is geared towards married couples, but is a good read for singles as well. Though I'm not married it gave me some helpful hints about interacting with my brothers and male friends. The length seemed perfect to me--long enough that the major things were well explained, short enough that I was still wanting more when it was over.

WOW!! I mean WOW!!! I learned so much from this book, I'm not sure I'll be able to share it, I may want to keep it to refer to again and again. I think I understand my husband so much better now. I can't wait to get the For Men only book for him to read. If you really want to understand your man better, I recommend this book.

This book was very helpful and educational. It was a simple read with helpful bar graphs for statistics representing the data that backed up the research claims. Easy to follow, and very eye-opening. Things every woman needs to know in order to better play her part in a relationship.

You will either love, or hate this book - there's not much of a middle ground here. I'm on the hate end of the spectrum - I found it insulting to men - the idea that men are "wired" to be a certain way and they are helpless against their "wiring" is a little ridiculous. The only reason I gave it a whole star is the chapter on respect - I do think that most women don't respect their husbands enough. An interesting read either way.

Made me realize that my perception of my man is really not always accurate. It opened my eyes to the struggles men face, their inner thought lives, and it explains some of their behavior. Very insightful. A must read for all married women.

LOVE this book! Will definitely be keeping it 4 reference. I've been married for only 1 1/2 years but this book really opened my eyes to what is going on in my hubby's head. Thanks Shaunti!

Didn't feel this book revealed any great hidden truths (your husband "can't help but look at other women"; your husband wants you to look your best; your husband stresses about providing for your family). However, it did remind me of how important it was to give my husband the respect he deserves and helped provoke some stimulating conversation with him on the matter.

This book is so amazing!! I learned more in the first few pages than in any other book I've read. I love this book!! Every women should read it. It will help you understand men!! I can't say enough good about this book.
I really loved this book the first time I read it (before any romantic involvements). And I truly re-enjoyed it this time as I prepare to get married in August! My fiance also read the For Men Only by the same author (and her husband) and we both had some great conversations over the materials in both books!

Excellent audio book. I'd highly recommend reading this in regular book form or listening to it to help women and wives understand men and husbands. I would say for the most part, it's great, but I would add that there needs to be more references to God's Word rather than man's feelings. It's good to know what men feel and what they think, but sometimes when we are dealing with people just in the realm of how they operate, we can miss that God has said we all are sinful and so since the author doesn't speak much of this, I hope there's not confusion in that there still needs to be repentance in all people's lives. Otherwise, it's an interesting read and I got MUCH from it! It is a challenge though, ladies! Tamara Slack www.NeedGod.com

This book is simple and straightforward, no fuss, no muss. Straight talk about men, their struggles, and how to be a blessing to them as wives, sisters, and friends. It is a short, easy read designed to get the point across that we women don't know as much as we think we know about our guys. Once we wake up and pay attention we can have better relationships and marriages.
My only complaint is the "journalistic" print can get annoying, because the writing is constantly interrupted by "blurbs" which restate the emphasized idea. But it's worth the annoyance to read such helpful information.
Comparitive to Laura Schlessinger's The Care and Feeding of Husbands, without all the ranting. :)

I thought this book was great! In fact, ever since reading it, I've constantly been on a quest to find other books that are as helpful in learning/understanding men. So far, nothing is as good as this book. After reading, I feel like I can understand men so much better, and because of that, I feel like I can/will be a much better wife when God finally leads me to my husband!
