I enjoyed this very much. Different type of character and I liked even the sub-characters in the plot. The romance is beginning to look like it's going to work. Treat to read, good fun, good humor and looks like this will be a good continuing series. I like the premiss of being able to talk to animals. How nice would that be for your house pets. Plus any zoo animals you would come in contact with. For me any but monkeys. Interesting twist.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I liked the premise and the way she communicated with the animals. Fairly fast paced to keep you reading on. I wasn't thrilled with the culprit or motive, but nevertheless liked the overall story. I already ordered the 2nd in the series and will definitely get more!

I got the call on a Sunday.

Grace Wilde has the psychic ability to talk to animals. She is called to a crime scene involving a local football hero to rescue his dog. Grace quickly realizes that Jax saw the murder but does not know how to share the information with the police. She has only shared her ability with one person outside of family and is reluctant to be seen as a kook.

This is an excellent start to a new series. Grace is a great character. The interactions with her wolf hybrid, Moss and the frightened Doberman, Jax are well written. It is always interesting to see how Grace "talks" to the animals. Crime Lab detective, Kai, is interested in Grace but soon questions her loyalties after a fellow teammate becomes a suspect.

I pretty much figured out what was going on before the big reveal but it was still a most pleasurable read. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Great story line. I will look forward to Book 2 of the series.
