This book is beyond silly. The erotic parts are wooden (no pun intended), and the mystery isn't all that interesting. The only redeeming feature was that parts of it are set in Bakersfield, where I grew up, and the author got the street names right! I have the sneaking suspicion the basque restaurant in her book is based on Woolgrowers, which is a famous basque restaurant, fairly near where the restaurant in the book is located.
I really liked Love Bite, and I liked this sequel, but not as much as book 1. I thought some of the plot was contrived/forced, and the relationship between the protagonists was not to my liking. Still, a good read.
