Best book Feist has written in a while, although it definitely bogs down when the Gods get involved. This book had moments when it reminded me of the urgency in the Empire trilogy. I'd love to see a book devoid of the gods that focused on rival families and political intrigue again -- much like Daughter or Magician. The rebuilding of the Tsurani empire might be a good place to start...
