This is a lovely little story set in 1894 Scotland at Christmas time, revolving around the need for forgiveness, redemption, and love, especially in families. Full of details that transport you back in time and remind us what's important. Quick read!

Another find at the library. A young schoolteacher named Meg is on her way home on Christmas Eve 1894 via the train. She meets Gordon who is the man that injured her brother in a curling event. He meets her family & the truth is revealed. Something different for a holiday read.
Love this cozy Christmas read. Can be read in a day but I am savoring every single page, it is that good.

I'm surprised at how much I liked this book ~ enough to look for more of this author. I am not a fan of romance fiction or Christian fiction, but this author can handle this mix while sparing the heavy hand often associated with these genres. I notice that PaperBackSwap is offering this lovely gift novella in their New Books for purchase. Consider it as you do your Christmas shopping ~ perhaps it would be just the thing for someone on your list. I'm giving my copy to my daughter!
