this book got me started on my thesis when i didn't know what to do (and wasn't getting any input in that area from my advisor), and was a comfort when i felt like i couldn't go on.
it would have been helpful to me while writing my candidacy paper, as well as my undergrad thesis and my admissions applications to grad school. in short, any writing project that one can find a way to procrastinate on, will be easier with the skills learned from this book...
