I disagree with the other reviewer. I found her going back in time, and not just by a day, was a way to gather info and find out how the first event ensued. !

Jen Brotherhood and her husband, Kelly, are waiting for their eighteen-year-old son to return home before his curfew. Jen is relieved when she sees Todd walking toward the house; but she is shocked when she sees Todd stab a man who approached him on the road. The police arrive quickly and take Todd into custody for murder. Neither Jen nor Kelly can believe what they saw. The next morning, Jen wakes up determined to contact a good lawyer for her son. But she quickly discovers that today is not the day after the murder...it is the day before.

Jen is living her life backwards and doesn't know why. Each morning she wakes up at an earlier point in her life. Each day she sees the changes in Todd that she never noticed before because she was busy with her career. As Jen goes further and further back in time, she discovers crucial clues to what caused her son to murder a stranger.

I used to enjoy reading time-travels; but haven't read a good one in a long time. Finally, I found one worth reading! This is tightly-plotted mystery with a unique premise. Jen knows that she must find out why her son would commit such a heinous act. With each leap backwards, she collects new information. There were several twists to the plot. I guessed a few of them, but others were a complete surprise. I highly recommend this book. My rating: 5 Stars.

I enjoyed this book so much! I wasn't sure early on but it just gets better as it goes. This is a unique tale with nostalgia, heart, suspense and some surprising curve balls thrown in. I thought I knew what was going on only to find I didn't know at all. I loved the ending. I will look forward to reading more from this author.

I've wanted to read Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister since it was published over a year ago. Everything finally aligned last week. I enjoyed the audiobook expertly narrated by Lesley Sharp.

Many are likely familiar with this novel's premise. Late at night as Jen waits up for her 18-year-old son Todd, she observes a shocking crime - Todd stabs a man in front of their home. After a terrifying night at the police station, Jen dreads the next morning when she and husband Kelly have to deal with the aftermath of Todd's actions. But when she wakes, it's not the next day but the day before the crime, and then the next morning it's two days before. How can this be? What is happening? Was Jen dreaming then or now?

I was fully invested in this story and along for the ride wherever it took me. Just when the "traveling back in time" trope became repetitive, the tension really picked up and pulled me back in. I enjoyed that the author revealed major plot points as little comments in the story - this novel demands the reader's full attention to appreciate it. I was surprised how facts revealed completely changed my perception of the characters.

This was a very cleverly written suspense novel and I'm eager to read the author's recent release Just Another Missing Person.

Mystery, thriller, family life and time travel all rolled into one. This story sets off with a bang and keeps on going. With twists and turns galore, it will keep you guessing until the end.

Jen is a night owl but on this particular night, she is waiting for her teenage son, Todd, to get home. When he finally arrives she watches as he makes his way to the house. In matter of seconds, her son is approached by a man. She sees her son pull out a knife and stab the stranger. She screams for her husband and they both run out to find the man on the ground, possibly dead, and her son standing there. The police show up and arrest Todd. Jen and her husband, Kelly, follow them to the station. Trying to get answers, the only thing the parents get is the knowledge that their son doesn't want a lawyer. Finally, after a long night, they head home to get some sleep. When Jen wakes up, she immediately starts to worry about what they can do for their son. When she sees her son in the house, she starts to question him. Through many deductions, she realizes that it is the night before the murder and she is the only one who knows what is about to happen. Then, she finds, that each time she falls asleep, she goes back in time more. Sometimes it is a day and sometimes it is longer. With each day, she tries to find reasons for Todd's actions and ends up finding more than she bargained for.

It was a crazy ride that journeyed around a wonderful family that you just couldn't help root for. As that journey continues, you start wondering if they are so wonderful after all. I really enjoyed the way the book was set up. Found it entertaining. You could see why she went back on certain days. It all came together in the end. I really enjoyed the characters as well. From the family to the co-workers to the bad guys, each were drawn out quite nicely. Looking forward to more books by this author.
