I wish she had written more of this series set in Canada with a tone deaf Mountie who is the son of a famous orchestra leader and brother of a famous opera singer. Makes for some interesting mystery and humerous situations. M'ann

I love this series! This book is great, as are the other Inspector Rhys books that I have read. I only wish there were more!!
A great cozy, full of zany characters and weird situations as only Charlotte MacLeod can do it.
It's May Day in Wales, the harps are strumming, the feast is spread and Rhyses galore are gathered for the revels. When our hero, Rhys the Mountie and his wife Janet gets involved they must sort out a hideous combination of sorcery, thievery and wicked, treacherous murder.

Charlotte MacLeod AKA Alisa Craig's Royal Canadian Mountie Detective Inspector Madoc Rhys series are humorous cozies. In this the fifth book of the series, Madoc, his wife and new baby are at the Rhys family reunion in Wales. Unsettling events of paganism and animal sacrifice lead Madoc to investigate with the local police. When murder makes its appearance, Madoc wonders which member of his family is a killer.
