A little slow at the start but once you get into it, it's hard to put down. I really liked this story and the way it was put together, it was a bit different but kept me interested the whole way.

Intense and smartly written, this Barbara Holloway legal mystery is excellent. Set in the Eugene, Oregon area, it is part of a series, but can stand alone.

When Barbara Holloway, a criminal defense attorny takes a short vacation to a secluded Oregon cabin on the beach she has no idea that the young child and his mother, Elizabeth, that she sees playing on the beach are in mortal danger. When the little boy runs into her on the beach and says his mommy has been hurt and she rushes to her aid, she has no idea of the problems she is about to become involved in by being a good samaritan. This is a great mystery with lots of twists and turns. I had a hard time putting it down.
good book
An easy read with some dramatic tension involved. If you love reading books that understand and appreciate the beauty of the Pacific NW you'll want to read this.
