These books are great reads. The stories are heartfelt and funny tales of growing up in a southern family. Very enjoyable and so much more in depth than the movie.

The prequel to YaYa Sisterhood, Little Alters Everywhere, is even better than the YaYa sisterhhood. Gives early family background and a better understanding of the rift between the mother and daughter. Good description of southern living.
