These 29 stories provide a solid week's worth of reading at 600+ pages. The selection board leans a little too heavily for my taste into the vague, unspecified realms where the reader never really quite understands what's going on -- but there are enough punchy, original, and even funny pieces here to make it a worthwhile addition to the bookshelf of any sf aficianado.
