Stillwater the panda meets the neighbor children and tells each one a short zen story that is in some way a response to their situation. The stories are thought-provoking and make this a great book for discussion with older children.

My son loves this book, and it's a great way for us, as we read it over and over, to remind ourselves of some important truths. Well worth getting for every kid you know who won't be offended by Buddhism. (You don't have to be Buddhist to appreciate it.)
