I love to use this book in my classroom to get my students talking about when and where they read. It is always interesting to find out that many of them read in odd or unexpected places.
Jane Yolen is one of my absolute all time favorite children's authors. Great illustrations too.

As always Mrs. Oczkus gives detailed information about the research behind her strategies and ways to use them in the classroom. I am already working to implement them in my own classroom. I especially appreciate that she has included special information about ways to work with your struggling writers and special needs students in addition to the whole class lessons.

A well written story that draws the reader in with emotion to Darcy's plight. Not to much suspense and somewhat predictable ending but in all a interesting and thought provoking story.

This is a great story to use for Point of View lessons for kids because they are so familiar with the original story of The Three Little Pigs and can compare the differences easily.
