I'm not usually a fan of thrillers. This one, however, I found captivating. The historical setting made it especially interesting. All of Ken Follett's books that I've read have been well-written. The historical perspective is fascinating, the story lines compelling, and the characters well-developed.

Clever story. Cute illustrations. One that adults can enjoy as much as the kids. I was pleasantly surprised, too, when our 3-year-old and 5-year-old started coming up with their own "safety tips", some genuine and some silly, after reading this story.

This has been a favorite of my 18-month-old grandson for a long time. The peek-a-boo flaps are large enough and sturdy enough for a baby's developing fine motor skills. The pictures are brightly colored and interesting, too.

Enjoyable, well-researched historical fiction.

One of those rare children's books that is fascinating for the adult reader as well as for the child. The children in the preschool class where I volunteer request this often and delight in remembering the interesting facts about the unusual animals.
