Even though I knew the ending - the daughter found... how she got there was extremely interesting as she was trying to find her parents, and they were trying to find her.

2 Nora Roberts stories.
Captivated: When real life witch Morgana Donovan is asked to be a research subject for an upcoming film, she humors the skeptical writer behind the project. Nash Kirkland has worked on enough Hollywood movies to know that witches aren't real and magic is only special effects. But the more time Nash spends with Morgana, the more he wants to change his mind. If Nash can finally believe in magic, can Morgana open her heart?
Entranced: As a rule, Sebastian Donovan keeps his psychic gifts secret. But when he receives a desperate call to investigate a kidnapping, he agrees to help. Private investigator Mel Sutherland is annoyed at the new addition to her team. She doesn't believe in psychics, but she'll have to swallow her pride and work with Sebastian and his unorthodox methods. Soon, the two are forced undercover and into a fake relationship... but pretending to be in love might be the easiest part of the complex case.

from the back cover:
Savannah Cavenaugh became a top art theif thanks to a secret ability - as a dragonmorph, she can literally fly away from the scene of the crime. Next up: stealing a priceless painting out from under the snout of Lord Relobu, North America's fearsome dragon ruler. True, she's never had to work in the midst of Earth's most polarizing nuptials before. Keeping her identity hidden will demand she get creative, to say the least.
Cameron Shaw has one last chance to prove himself. As Lord Rebobu's interim securty head, he'll ensure the world's first interspecies wedding happens without a hitch. That means keeping an extra close eye on the wedding planner's pretty young assistant. She's adorable, but something is not quite right.
Fumbling her way throught bouquets and linens turns out to be the least of Savannah's problems. Crushing on Relobu's hottest human henchmand was not part of the plan and neither was revealing her - ahem - ferocious side. But when her archrival shows up to nab the very same painting she's after, all bets are

Terry is a private detective who works for the Hawk Agency which only does work for women. Their fee? $$ plus one or two favors at a a later date. In this case they are looking into a house that is cluttered past the point of hoarding. Is Uncle Lawrence still alive? If so, where is he? The house is full of booby traps - trip wires, rugs over holes in the floor just above the cistern,...

Excellent story. A few inconsistencies in that originally talking about the ranch being only 200 acres, and then near the end suddenly the ranch is 1000 acres. Also there is no such thing as a mother heifer - a heifer is a cow who has never had a baby.
Otherwise a good read
