You know a book is good when you are crying so much you don't realize it until someone hands you tissue. A beautiful story about love & loss. There are tales within this story, to tie it all together. I was unprepared to love this book so much, I don't want to release it into the system.
This is the story of a beautiful man who ends up burned and broken by a car accident. A mysterious women shows up at his bedside, declaring they have been lovers for many centuries, She tells stories of their previous life while he heals. But is she crazy-or do our souls really find our true loves over & over thru time?

I thought this was a pretty good read, I enjoy the Gothic feel, something sinister up ahead. It was a little creepy, and kept me interested throughout.
I felt as though the main character had allot more patience with his pen pal than I would have had and I felt that in a "real" situation no one would have put up with all her diversions, and not find it at all odd. There are many twists, and a story within the story.

I found the book easy to read although I know some people had a hard time slipping into the dialog of Minny and Aibileen.
I cried, and laughed hard while reading. Eye opening at how people treat "help".

The book was ok, not great. I felt like the main character was a bit weak. Maybe wishy washy. It seemed to me the book was written quickly, what could have been a great story line...(who murdered the parents, and WHY?) felt rushed. It almost felt like this was a Lesson Plan for what the book should have been. I also felt that it was a bit unrealistic, and the ending was...limp.

I like that these characters were almost familiar to me. The couple move into a secluded, fixer upper of a cottage. Almost immediately creepy, yet explainable things start to happen, and then they stumble upon the "religious" cult next door.
This book builds up the suspense until you are on the edge of your seat. Told from the husbands point of view, it's humorous but also ghoulish. I enjoyed it!

This book is easy to read. Five people in search of a stone. One magus, one soldier, 2 apprentices and one thief. The thief is the storyteller, however you don't get much info about him....not his age, which made it a bit confusing to understand if he is being a lazy hindrance or just immature. The whole story wraps up better in the last chapter. I liked this book, and I will read the second, because now I am curious to read the Thief's back story.
