Grieving the Loss of Someone You Love: Daily Meditations to Help You Through the Grieving Process
Review Date: 11/3/2010

When my father passed away 16 years ago, this book was sooo helpful to me. It met me right where I was--as a grieving daughter, and a Christian with a deep faith. My only regret is that I didn't start reading it from the beginning, but waited several weeks.

It is written in short daily devotional reading....perfect for those who are grieving. It is much too hard to read anything of any length at such a time.

It was so healing and helpful, I now give this book instead of flowers. So many who have received it tell me later what a blessing it was and that they now give it to others, too!

Quest for Love: True Stories of Passion and Purity (Rules for Christian Singles!)

This book was just what I needed to read....I'm what many might call an "old maid" at 48, but read this book about 10 uears ago and it reminded me that God is in charge of bringing my mate to me..I do not need to be turning over every rock, or trying to gently or not so gently "influence" those who have caught my fancy. HE knows what is best for me...and I can count on him not only to bring him into my life, but also to speak clearly to him, too!! After all, I only want a man of God who listens and hears from God.

This is an updated rewrite of Felton's Messies Manual first published in 1981 (and has been updated and republished several times since then with variations to the title.)

It was "groundbreaking" at the time, and helped a lot of folks get started on the "road to recovery" and certainly Ms Felton paved the way for many authors on the subject who came after.

That being said, there isn't much here that isn't handled more effectively elsewhere--though for those who are just beginning to try to address disorganization, you may indeed find some great insights.

I DO highly recommend Organizing Magic!
