Quick read. If you like books like Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, you will probably like this one.

Excellent book introducing me to this aspect/perspective of American history.

I am not sure how I feel about this book. I feel that the characters weren't well developed enough for me to understand them, especially Gabriel. Rachel got a little annoying after a while with all of her screaming. I understand why she was angry and vengeful but it could have been written better, IMHO.
Otherwise, it did have a well-enough developed plot to keep me reading to the end. As I have gotten older and realized there are SO many books to read and so little time to read them, I put a book away or swap it on to the next person if it doesn't keep my interest. So there's that! I kept at reading this one...:)

I love this series and I am going to find it hard to wait for the next installment...come on, Kristen, don't make us wait too long!!

I keep reading this series because they are a nice easy read after a 900 page book :) And I still like the characters.

This is good series so far...sometimes hard to follow along...so I am glad of the references at the end of the book.

Absolutely the best trilogy I have ever read (First book The White Mare is tied with this book as the best book i have ever read). I cannot wait for the third installment. Have to wait until Jan 08 :( I loved this book and will never forget it. My copy is a keeper..sorry guys! :)

This book was more dry than the first installment, but there is no way I am giving up on this series. It's too good.

Well developed plotline. Easy-to-like characters.

This is such a cute and funny series. Light and fun.

I was disappointed with this first installment. Such shallow character development, shallow reading...Blah. I would much rather re-read all of the Agent Pendergast books...
I love this writing team...and because of that I am willing to invest more of my time in the next book, but I hope they get it right with the next one...

I like the premise. It was enough for me to consider reading the next installment of the series.

Typical Matthew Reilly! Fast-paced and out-there with a woman taking the lead in this one. Good book.

This was my favorite of Cathy Lamb's books thus far. It was excellent and compelling.

This was the best book of a really good series. You get to really know Karigan. I love the way this author writes. She draws you into the story. It's as if you are there with Karigan. Strongly recommend. Hopefully there are many more books to the series. I couldn't wait to read the next sequel so I am actually buying this book rather then wait the mannnnny months for PBS because there are so many on the wait list :).

Really well written but I got bogged down with it. Had to force myself somewhat to finish it. It was good though...just not my cuppa tea.

Wonderful epic love story of historical fiction! :) I must admit to feeling that it was a little drawn out...BUT, with that said, I would highly recommend this book. Excellent writing. It's as if you are really there with these people during this era. I will be reading the next several in this series. In fact, the next book is on the way from a fellow PBS member. Looking forward to meeting up with the characters of this book again...and to meeting new characters...:)

If you like the craziness of what happens to Diane Fallon or Tempe Brennan in their stories, you may not like this series. It's way too tame for me. It's very vague writing to me and the main characters annoyed me, especially the detective. But, I am always willing to try another of the books if someone can tell me that they are better than this one...I didn't finish it.
