This is a beautiful little book of verse for small children. The illustrations are sweet and nicely colored. This would be a great little book for a beloved child.

I really enjoyed this book-it was a good match for Tabitha King to finish writing the book for Michael McDowell. It is the story of a young girl, her strange and aloof mother, her father's grisly murder by strangers, and the rest of her weird, troubled family. Part ghost story and part survival story of a young child who has to face adult issues far too early in her short life.

Good and scary. Just in time for halloween. Something evil has been revived in a small community after many years.

As usual,Robert McCammon never fails to excite the reader and enlighten them of the harsh ways of life in the early 1700's. This book is a continuing story of Matthew Corbitt and his partner, Hudson Greathouse. They seem to have bitten off more than they could chew this time, when they transport a crazed prisoner from the asylum to stand before the courts for his purported inhumanities to man. Mr. Slaughter is his name, and he aptly lives up to his name. This man is the nutcase of all times, and without giving anything away- he escapes from the gentlemen and goes on a wild rampage. It is up to Greathouse and Corbitt to stop this maniac from destroying everyone in his path. I could hardly put the book down and am anxious for the next chapter in this series. McCammon rules!!

Very good book (as are all so far by this author). Deals with the childhood of a young girl during the time when polio was striking young and old alike. A very warm and sometimes funny story about Tab and her friend Maudie Mae who hails from the other side of the tracks.

Interesting book about a group of tourist who wander into the wild forests in Mexico seeking treasure and the brother of one of the group members. What they find instead of treasure is enough to make you never take a vacation again.

This is an excellent book. Gritty, seedy characters fill this book, but passion and compassion also show up here. Great read, best I've read by Vachss!! Tina M (fab4fan)

Excellent book proves that things aren't always what they appear to be. Curl up with this great book and be enveloped by the intertwining tales of madness, deceit, family secrets and sometimes unselfish love for others. I hated this book to end, and have had second thoughts about trading it off.

Nice little inexpensive gifts to give for Christmas. Not hard to do. Some of these would be good to do with children.
