I loved it. She's an imaginative author.

I used this book to raise my sons. Despite its age, it is valuable for today's parents. It's written from a Christian perspective, but parents of any faith or no faith can use its principles to balance their commitments to their children and to the causes that move them by including the children in actions that are authentic and developmentally appropriate. For example, even a toddler can walk with a parent and greet the recipient of a Meals on Wheels lunch. Helping others or taking a stand becomes part of "what we do," not something that takes Mom and Dad away.
