What a wonderful, silly book! Dave Pilkey is an inspirational children's author, who struggled in school, spending a great deal of time in the hallway for disrupting his class. He never received any encouragement until he went to college and wrote his first book.
Super Diaper Baby is in comic book style with some great 'flip-o-matic" pages, that you flip quickly and get that live action cartoon effect. The story is very amusing, with some hitting (newborn hits doctor back after being given the slap of life!) and an e-vil arch rival, who turns himself into, well, into something found in a baby's dirty diaper, so consider yourself warned! (The kids will love it....)

It is filled with love, heartbreak, deep soul searching, tears and laughter. It intertwines three generations (each chapter a different time) beautifully! Often, I have trouble keeping track and end up putting those type of books down. Not so here.... I loved the fairytale aspect and reminded me of old books from the past. Wonderful... you get to know the characters(love some ,hate some) When it ends you are filled with emotion!

This is an excellent book. The children love the rhyming and poetic nature of the story. They also love to discuss their observations of the pictures ( even the youngest readers begin their analyzing skills with the pictures) :-)
